POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves overseeing and mentoring supervisors across various operational aspects, including production documentation, yield management, attendance tracking, employee motivation, turnover rates, absenteeism, safety protocols, and problem resolution. The position is accountable for performance metrics related to safety, quality, workers' compensation, turnover, and overall team morale, along with additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity is preferred, with at least two years of experience at Tyson or a similar background. Familiarity with processing floor operations is advantageous; HACCP certification is a plus, along with a solid understanding of basic HACCP principles and the ability to perform monitoring and verification of Critical Control Points (CCP); knowledge of fresh meat processing is also beneficial.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of accessing all areas of the production floor for audits and inspections, including fixed ladders and stairs, and able to withstand environmental conditions typical of the area of responsibility.

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is required.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Leadership qualities, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to special projects are necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all production operations within the facility, which includes managing production supervisors, departmental schedules, product rotation, and CCP verification schedules, as well as overseeing the safety committee. This role also involves evaluating team members in these positions and implementing improvements in areas that require development.
