ROLE SUMMARY:

This role is tasked with managing expenses effectively; ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA regulations; interpreting and enforcing company policies; assessing manpower requirements and making recommendations; preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports; addressing issues efficiently with thorough follow-up; collaborating with department leaders to achieve production quality targets while maintaining labor standards and performance quality; overseeing cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and security; supervising production supervisors; and managing all operations for designated shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years in a related field preferred, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience, ideally in a meat processing environment, particularly with poultry, along with knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.

Computer Skills: Proficient in standard computer applications.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May require night shift work and flexible hours as needed.
  • Oversees subordinate supervisors managing team members in the facility.
  • Responsible for carrying out supervisory duties in line with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Involves interviewing, hiring, and training team members.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Monitoring and evaluating work performance.
  • Rewarding, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, safety, security, sanitation, quality yields, cost efficiency, and strong mathematical skills are advantageous.

Travel: As necessary.
