Job Summary

Bongards Creameries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a Loaf Cheese Handler. This role is responsible for manually dispensing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manually dispense ingredients into feed hoppers or blenders
  • Record lot numbers for all ingredients added to the blender into our tracking system
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the removal of garbage and opened bags
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our production line, including the removal of garbage and opened bags
  • Must be able to pass forklift training and maintain a license
  • Must maintain constant communication with the grinder operator(s)
  • Notify maintenance as necessary in the event of a breakdown
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all GMP's, SOP's, and Safety Guidelines
  • Flexibility with daily assignments as necessary
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Must adhere to and follow all GMP's, SOP's, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work
  • Must report all food safety problems to the immediate supervisor or their designated replacement
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to both food and employee safety
Physical Capabilities
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to climb ladders occasionally
