Insurance Operations Assistant

About Monarch E&SMonarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions, is a rapidly growing and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency based in Burbank, CA. We specialize in small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.
About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to join our binding and brokerage team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to our team. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing and/or assisting with audits, binders/invoicing, and endorsements through managing all company correspondence in a timely manner.
- Responding promptly to all requests from the brokerage team, underwriters, retailers, or managers regarding account servicing issues.
- Developing a professional rapport with clients and underwriters to enhance new and ongoing business relationships.
- Following departmental procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and meeting compliance standards.
- Acting as liaison between clients and the underwriter to manage all account documentation.
- Initiating cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and contractual requirements.
- Maintaining suspense systems and following up for receipt of policies, endorsements, inspections reports, correspondence, claims, etc. from outside sources.
- Maintaining current knowledge of the insurance industry through attendance of virtual workshops, seminars, literature reviews, and/or formal continuing education.
- Performing inspections ordering and renewals in our company portal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- One year of wholesale insurance experience.
- State-specific Insurance License.
- High School graduate required; College courses preferred.
- Must have experience and knowledge of Commercial Lines E&S products.
- Previous work experience in the fields of insurance underwriting, customer service, with a successful track record.
- Positive attitude and enjoys helping others through frequent phone and email communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of adaptability to meet the needs of various situations.
- Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various rating portals.
- Technical Assistant experience or three years of general insurance experience.
- Five years' experience with property and casualty lines of business.
- This work location can be hybrid or remote.
- Preferred working hours to support Pacific Standard Time zone.
