Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee multiple Class A-B multifamily properties within the Detroit region, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to company policies.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to enhance revenue and control expenses.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor property managers and on-site staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and address tenant concerns promptly to maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective leasing strategies, ensuring properties are marketed to target demographics.
  • Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare regular performance reports for upper management.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective services and quality workmanship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, with a focus on Class A multifamily properties.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Real estate license preferred but not required.
