We are a leading consulting engineering firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Wall, NJ. Job Requirements:

  • Engineering Production Software Knowledge: Proficiency in using engineering production software to manage projects and tasks.
  • Consulting Engineering Experience: 15+ years of experience in consulting engineering, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • HVAC Experience: 15+ years of experience in the field of HVAC, with a strong knowledge of air side and wet HVAC systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
  • Professional Certifications: Preferred PE License in NJ and NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Air Side & Wet HVAC Systems: In-depth knowledge of air side and wet HVAC systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • ESIP / ESCO Knowledge: Understanding of ESIP and ESCO principles and practices, including energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Site Visits: Perform initial site visits to assess and document existing mechanical equipment and systems for renovation projects.
  • Design & Drafting: Ability to design and draft mechanical/HVAC construction documents using AutoCAD, with Revit experience a plus.
  • Equipment Sizing & Selection: Sizing and selection of mechanical/HVAC equipment, including ductwork and piping systems.
  • Technical Specs: Preparation of technical specs (Master Specs) for mechanical/HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Computerized Load Calculations: Ability to perform computerized HVAC load calculations using software such as Carrier HAP.
  • Project Management: Ability to work within established budgets, interact and coordinate with external clients and architects, and manage internal team members.
  • Design & Production Load: Heavy design and production load, with a fast-paced but accurate work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, architects, and internal team members.
  • Project Management: Managing all active jobs from start to finish, including organizing and executing kick-off meetings, daily reports from job site visits, and monitoring project schedules, tracking submittals, permits, etc.
