Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in engineering design software
  • Over 15 years of experience in consulting engineering
  • Extensive background in HVAC, with 15+ years in the field
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) License in NJ or NY

Core Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Air Side and Wet HVAC Systems
  • Knowledge of Energy Services Improvement Plans (ESIP) and Energy Service Companies (ESCO)
  • Conduct initial site assessments to evaluate existing mechanical systems for renovation
  • Independently perform the following tasks:
  • Design and draft Mechanical/HVAC construction documents utilizing AutoCAD; Revit experience is advantageous
  • Size and select Mechanical/HVAC equipment
  • Design and layout ductwork and HVAC piping systems
  • Prepare technical specifications (Master Specs)
  • Conduct computerized HVAC load calculations (e.g., Carrier HAP)
  • Work within established project budgets
  • Coordinate effectively with external clients and architects
  • Collaborate with internal team members
  • Manage a heavy design and production workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Oversee all active projects from inception to completion
  • Organize and lead project kickoff meetings
  • Provide daily reports from site visits
  • Monitor project schedules and track submittals and permits
