Quarterly Lecturer Position

Santa Clara University is seeking a qualified Part-Time Lecturer to teach in the Department of Education. The successful candidate will have expertise or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: Teacher Education, Bilingual Education, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses, including but not limited to: Multiple Subject and/or Single Subject, Bilingual Education, and related courses.
- Conduct and appear at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner.
- Assign and evaluate assignments that align with the course description and course learning outcomes.
- Hold regular weekly office hours.
- Submit student grades that are appropriate, accurate, and fair measures of student performance.
- Administer numerical and narrative evaluations for all courses.
- Fulfill other academic duties as may be assigned by the Chair of the Department of Education.
- Graduate degree in Education or related field.
- Spanish Language proficiency.
- Ability to teach in Spanish.
- Expertise or teaching experience in one or more of the areas listed above.
- Doctoral level and licensed candidates preferred.
The successful candidate will be required to work on a part-time basis, teaching no more than two courses per quarter, and no more than four courses over three academic quarters. The start date will vary per quarter.
