Ceramic Sculpture Instructor

Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic institution, seeks a qualified Ceramic Sculpture Lecturer to teach courses in Ceramic Sculpture. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching no more than two courses in any quarter and no more than four courses over the fall, winter, and spring quarters.
Responsibilities:- Teach courses in Ceramic Sculpture, including ARTS 63 Ceramic Sculpture
- Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
- Provide timely and effective feedback to students
- Hold regular office hours and be available to students
- Submit student grades and evaluations in a timely manner
- Terminal degree (MFA) or closely-related field
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Ceramic Sculpture at the college level
- Successful teaching experience at the university level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience teaching and mentoring a diverse population of undergraduate students
- Experience with inclusive pedagogical practices that advance SCU goals of diversity and equity
