Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Executive Director to oversee our esteemed retirement community.

The Executive Director will hold full responsibility for all operational aspects and quality of care within the community. Key responsibilities encompass ensuring financial health, managing budgets and cash flow, adhering to staffing protocols, and overseeing daily operations in compliance with regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in fostering an environment that upholds the highest standards of care while nurturing positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and external partners. Compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary executive for all community operations, acting as the liaison for staff, residents, prospective residents, community organizations, and government entities.
  • Lead, inspire, and oversee all department heads and staff, ensuring high morale and ongoing training.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction through the consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Drive the development and execution of sales and operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of care regulations and collaborate with clinical leadership to address any issues.
  • Implement proactive strategies for resident retention and engagement.
  • Oversee the community’s financial management, ensuring accountability and addressing budget variances.
  • Provide leadership and resolve issues proactively for both staff and residents.
  • Act as the primary contact for corporate leadership, fostering positive relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of personnel decisions, focusing on the retention of high-quality staff.
  • Oversee property maintenance and ensure the community is well-kept through regular inspections and preventative measures.
Qualifications:
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for serving the senior community.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services is preferred, or equivalent experience in a supervisory role within senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position within a senior living environment is required.
  • Must hold a valid Administrator/AL Manager license in good standing and comply with all relevant licensing requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of regulations pertaining to residents' rights.
  • Proven track record of team building and achieving financial objectives.
  • Proficient in various computer systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and motivational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available on-call.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • A genuine compassion for residents and a commitment to excellence.
