Research Project Manager, Community or Clinical Research

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Project Manager to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of ongoing and prospective research projects, including project, protocol, personnel, and grant management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple research projects in the department of Health Disparities Research, focusing on improving physical activity and quality of life in medically underserved and underrepresented populations.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to establish and maintain research project timelines and coordinate staff to ensure research goals are met.
- Develop standardized procedures for research projects and assist with the development and management of study databases to ensure data quality.
- Oversee protocol development, submission, and revision for regulatory approval, maintaining quality control in intervention delivery and data collection.
- Manage team personnel issues, including staff supervision, training, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee grant management, including budgeting, financial transactions, and distribution of effort.
- Bachelor's degree in a natural science or related field.
- At least six years of experience in scientific or experimental research, including two years as a project manager.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in public health or a related field, with experience in community or clinical research management.
