Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Leadership (50%):
    Oversee the management of the Regional Clinical Research initiatives, ensuring effective execution of progress assessments, project renewals, and necessary documentation related to research.
  • Facilitate collaboration with MD Anderson faculty to enhance clinical trial participation across various locations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, along with regular reporting mechanisms.
  • Supervise pilot projects and operational growth within the Regional Clinical Research Program.
  • Design and maintain the administrative framework to support the Regional Clinical Research Program.
  • Ensure comprehensive management of clinical research activities across the Houston Area Locations.

  • Research Operations Oversight (25%):
    Ensure adherence to all standards and quality measures in research activities. Maintain communication with clinical teams to stay informed about upcoming protocols and oversee clinical trials personnel.

  • Education and Development (25%):
    Identify training needs and provide guidance on policies related to clinical trial management. Participate in the development of clinical research staff through effective orientation and ongoing education.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of six years in research administration within a biotechnology or academic environment, including supervisory experience.


Preferred Certifications:
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP).
