Patient Service Representative

As a Patient Service Representative at Advocate Aurora Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical offices. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will make you an asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors, responding to routine requests for information and answering phone calls.
Register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, and verify coverage.
Schedule appointments, coordinate cancellations and reschedules, and provide accurate information to patients.
Update insurance and patient information, applying knowledge of government and third-party payer requirements.
Identify and resolve problems related to registration, communicating with appropriate individuals and departments.
Monitor patient flow, ensuring efficient and courteous care, and offer assistance as needed.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and electronic mail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
