Position Overview:
We are seeking an Acquisition Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense. The successful candidate will be part of a team that integrates and coordinates biosurveillance requirements, strategies, and acquisition efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update a biosurveillance strategy and implementation plan aligned to the National Biodefense Strategy.
- Oversee the development of acquisition plans for biosurveillance efforts and monitor progress against the plans.
- Coordinate and integrate biosurveillance acquisition efforts within the DoD and with interagency partners.
- Develop biosurveillance-related products, including briefings, talking points, and situational awareness notes.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess an active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong acquisition experience and an understanding of DoD acquisition decision-making processes.
- Program management experience.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Advanced certification in Program Management and/or Practitioner certification in Engineering and Technical Management.
- Experience working as an action officer within the DoD.
- Experience working with, briefing, and engaging General Officer/Flag Officer/SES-level personnel.
- Ability to lead disparate teams and build coalitions within a community of interest.
