Job Description

PACE LLC is a government contracting firm based in the Washington, DC area. We are dedicated to providing first-class professional support, leadership, and performance to meet the goals and objectives of our clients.


The Acquisition Specialist will provide a full range of procurement and contracting services in support of the customer's acquisition activities. This position supports the PACE LLC government contracting client, which is a United States federal agency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and improve the quality of documents submitted to the contracting office by the program office as part of the Procurement Request (PR) packages.
  • Assist contracting officers and program offices in creating compliant, complete, and high-quality Procurement Request (PR) packages.
  • Provide support and assistance in all areas of pre-award contract and acquisition administration and modification, micro purchases, and simplified acquisitions for services and supplies.
  • Prepare and review requirements documents and Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work; Service Acquisition Strategies and Plans; Sole Source Documentation; and Technical Evaluation Plans.
  • Ensure that the PWS/SOWs are prepared in a manner which adequately describes the Government's requirements without restricting competition.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a federal employee contract specialist (series 1102)
  • Previous experience as a federal contractor performing 1102-type (contract specialist) work
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
  • DAWIA or FAC-C certification in contracting

Education: Bachelor's Degree


Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid- office one day per pay period)
