About Insight Global:

This position is for a committed Construction Project Superintendent with expertise in MEP operations. Per diem is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively oversee intricate contracted and self-performed construction initiatives.
  • Develop, manage, and communicate project timelines, addressing critical paths and resolving obstacles.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Formulate and uphold site logistics and execution strategies.
  • Lead field operations, monitor changes, and guide a larger team as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to strategically overcome design challenges.
  • Guarantee that installations align with user requirements and quality standards.
  • Organize and conduct quality control inspections with relevant parties.
  • Coordinate the installation of tools, anchoring, and utility connections.
  • Verify contractor and subcontractor performance, providing regular status updates to the site Construction Manager.
  • Assist the commissioning team with finalization, testing, energization, and startup activities.
  • Identify potential issues early and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Comprehend project-specific plans, drivers, and construction specifications.
  • Manage the organization, tracking, and receipt of materials and equipment.
  • Interpret construction drawings, fabrication details, and installation manuals.
  • Facilitate inspections with city and third-party authorities to ensure timely access to occupied spaces.
  • Provide clear and concise direction to trades to prioritize efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate trades to ensure proper sequencing of work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience managing construction projects in manufacturing or industrial settings, particularly with process piping and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in evaluating drawings, creating biddable work packages, and validating contractor bids against cost and schedule estimates.
  • Experience driving the execution of construction projects in manufacturing or industrial environments for 8+ years.
  • Ability to assess multidisciplinary drawings and coordinate cross-functional efforts for timely execution.
  • Skilled in developing fragnet schedules to support accelerated project completions.
  • Understanding of interdependent utility integration, ensuring that completed systems include installed, wired, and calibrated devices.
  • Experience with equipment rigging, installation, startup, and utility qualification.
  • Familiarity with code compliance and building occupancy regulations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to various plans and specifications.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field and engage directly with tasks to achieve objectives.
  • Capacity to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight deadlines and ambitious goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Confident decision-making abilities and adept at coordinating among key stakeholders.
