Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively oversee intricate contracted and self-performed construction initiatives.
- Develop, manage, and drive project timelines, addressing critical paths and communicating obstacles while influencing and resolving site challenges.
- Administer contractor performance with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Establish and uphold site logistics and execution strategies.
- Lead field operations, monitor changes, and guide a larger team as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to strategically address design challenges.
- Ensure installations align with end-user specifications and quality standards.
- Schedule and conduct quality assurance inspections with relevant parties.
- Coordinate tool installation, anchoring, and utility connections.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor work, providing daily or weekly updates to the site Construction Manager.
- Assist the commissioning team with punch list completion, testing, energization, and startup processes.
- Identify potential issues early and effectively mitigate risks.
- Comprehend project-specific plans, objectives, and construction requirements.
- Organize, track, and receive materials and equipment, coordinating logistics as needed.
- Interpret construction drawings, fabrication details, and installation manuals.
- Facilitate city and third-party inspections to ensure timely access to occupied areas.
- Provide clear and concise direction to trades, prioritizing efficient project execution.
- Coordinate trades to ensure proper sequencing of work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 8 years of experience managing construction projects in manufacturing or industrial settings, particularly with process piping and mechanical systems.
- Ability to assess drawings, create actionable work packages, and validate contractor bids against cost and schedule estimates.
- Proven experience in driving the execution of construction projects in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Capability to evaluate multidisciplinary drawings and coordinate across functions for timely execution.
- Experience in developing fragnet schedules to support accelerated project completions.
- Understanding of interdependent utility integration, ensuring systems are installed, wired, and calibrated.
- Experience with equipment rigging, installation, startup, and utility qualification.
- Familiarity with code compliance and building occupancy regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to:
Architectural and finish plans and specifications, framing and wall type details, civil and structural plans, mechanical and electrical systems, and 3D modeling and CAD files.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field and engage hands-on to achieve objectives or gather accurate information.
- Ability to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight deadlines and ambitious goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Confidence in decision-making and coordination among key stakeholders.
