Position Overview:

We are in search of an Assistant Superintendent to work closely with the project team, ensuring the effective execution of our multi-family construction initiatives from the ground up.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist in the execution of the punch list, project turnover, and commissioning processes under the direction of the Lead Superintendent.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and conduct routine inspections of all construction operations.
  • Ensure that materials and finishes comply with approved submissions and are installed according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Accompany third-party inspectors for evaluations related to Waterproofing, Green Building, and Geotechnical assessments.
  • Provide Safety Orientation to new subcontractors on-site and distribute necessary safety gear.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with field teams, communicating daily with Foremen.
  • Oversee Laborers and Carpenters to achieve project objectives.
  • Assist the Lead Superintendent in updating the three-week look-ahead schedule on a weekly basis.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proactively identify and address field issues, engaging the Lead Superintendent as needed.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with PlanGrid is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in construction, particularly in Commercial, Multi-family, or Hospitality sectors is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and travel for business-related purposes.
