Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES DIST INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Accounts Receivable: Process daily billing, adjustments, refunds, write-offs, NSFs, and related clerical support functions.
  • Monitor Client Accounts: Monitor client accounts daily to identify and take appropriate action on outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Review and Update Accounts: Regularly review client accounts for accuracy, ensuring accurate and updated account information.
  • Encourage Timely Payments: Proactively take actions to encourage timely payments.
  • Investigate and Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve client billing-issues in a timely manner while assuring good customer service.
  • Identify and Discuss Issues: Identify issues contributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
  • Update and Maintain Records: Update and maintain accurate records and regularly reports on client aging and collection efforts.
  • Collect Credit Information: Collect client credit information, submit client credit applications for approval, and monitor client credit lines.
  • Generate Reports: Generate reports as needed, analyze data, and identify trends and take corrective measures if needed.
  • Perform Other Duties: As part of a team, performs other duties as may be necessary for the proper functioning of the full team and/or as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, resolve, and explain complex issues.
  • Effective Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and complete projects on time.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis and how it relates to granting of credit.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in an accounts receivable role or commercial collections or related function.
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Finance, or Business preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Office Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to work in the office at our Seattle, WA Thermal Supply Branch located in SODO.
