Role Summary:

The primary responsibilities of a financial analyst include collecting and interpreting financial data. This role typically involves performing quantitative assessments of information that impacts investment strategies for both public and private entities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to support technical documentation.
  • Evaluate financial data to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions to guide investment choices.
  • Analyze data that influences investment strategies, including pricing, yield, stability, and prospective trends in investment risks.
  • Deliver comprehensive oral and written reports on economic trends, specific corporations, and broader industry insights.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time.
  • Capability to assess business trends and project future financial outcomes.
  • Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and regulations related to finance.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting is necessary.
