Key Responsibilities- Engage with potential clients to foster new business relationships while maintaining strong connections with existing customers.
- Respond promptly to customer requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Effectively manage all quoting opportunities utilizing SAP software.
- Market the comprehensive solutions offered by Standex Engraving, including Chemical, 5-Axis Laser, and Tool Finishing services.
- Deliver technical support and innovative solutions to clients, addressing their needs in tooling and molded parts.
- Oversee the preparation of upcoming projects to ensure tools are ready for the texturing process upon arrival.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of information to all stakeholders.
- Participate in additional activities as required to support departmental objectives.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, sales/marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in laser sales or a comparable technical sales role.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally (approximately 20-30%).
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Professional demeanor and presence.
- Familiarity with the automotive sector, tooling/mold shops, and engraving & texturing processes.
- Results-driven with a consistent track record of achieving objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with a clear and concise communication style.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively, working with tool shops, Tier 1 suppliers, and OEMs.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Skilled in influencing others through effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at internet navigation.
