Loma Systems is a leading manufacturer of inspection equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our product development efforts and drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of the North American inspection market and customer needs through research, data analysis, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to influence product and service sales strategies and enhance the sales team's understanding of Loma's product value proposition.
- Facilitate successful product launches and coordinate with various departments to streamline processes.
- Enhance the technical expertise of the sales and service teams through training and development.
- Strengthen Loma's position as a leader in product inspection technology through technical webinars, tradeshows, and industry visibility.
- Conduct product testing and reporting to maximize machine capability and support the sales process.
- Analyze trends in non-conformances and advise on product and process improvements.
- Contribute to Loma's Quality program and aim to reduce non-conformances and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Act as the go-to expert for escalations and focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with an engineering discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend tradeshows (20%-25% travel required).
- Demonstrated ability to translate R&D theory into practical, commercial applications.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor communication styles to different stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis skills.
