Position Summary

The National Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all phases of a project. This role encompasses performance management, administrative duties, documentation, safety protocols, and client interaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with operations daily to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Keep clients and insurance representatives informed about all project developments.
  • Comply with all company protocols, project guidelines, safety regulations, and accounting practices.
  • Ensure service quality meets the highest standards of the company.
  • Establish project budgets to guarantee profitability.
  • Manage project workflows from inception to completion.
  • Conduct project buy-outs.
  • Develop draw schedules with subcontractors and vendors, secure permits, and ensure all necessary documentation is maintained in the project file.
  • Create and implement a Site Safety Plan to be adhered to by Field Supervisors and labor teams.
  • Maintain client and adjuster communication to foster excellent customer service.
  • Ensure job files contain properly signed contracts and required documentation.
  • Process files promptly for accurate accounting department handling.
  • Complete daily Project Management Reviews for job files.
  • Lead Safety Toolbox meetings.
  • Participate in safety investigations to mitigate risks.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Operations and Production Managers regarding job performance as necessary.
  • Maintain open communication and networking with adjusters, the insurance sector, and any assigned target businesses.
  • Uphold the highest integrity to ensure Cotton's image is positively represented.
  • Oversee the hiring of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Direct daily activities on construction sites.
  • Address client and adjuster needs and requests.
  • Resolve conflicts with customers effectively.
  • Monitor performance of operational staff and manage scope changes.
  • Understand workflow procedures and systems thoroughly.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
  • Proven knowledge of reconstruction projects is essential.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with workflow procedures and systems.
  • Understanding of the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships.
  • Valid driving record, with a minimum age of twenty-one (21) and at least three (3) years of verifiable driving experience.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • No repeat seat belt violations.
  • No high-speed moving violations in the past three years.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs arise is required.
