Position Summary

The National Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all facets of construction projects. This role encompasses performance management, administrative duties, documentation, safety protocols, and client interactions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with operations daily to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Keep clients and insurance representatives informed about all project developments.
  • Adhere to company protocols, project guidelines, safety regulations, and accounting practices.
  • Ensure service quality meets the highest standards set by the company.
  • Establish project budgets to guarantee profitability.
  • Manage project workflows from inception to completion.
  • Conduct project buy-outs.
  • Develop and maintain draw schedules with subcontractors and vendors, secure permits, and ensure all necessary documentation is organized.
  • Create a Site Safety Plan to be communicated and implemented by Field Supervisors and labor teams.
  • Maintain client and adjuster communication to foster excellent customer service.
  • Ensure job files contain properly signed contracts and required documentation.
  • Process files promptly for accurate accounting handling.
  • Complete daily Project Management Reviews for job files.
  • Lead Safety Toolbox meetings.
  • Participate in safety investigations to mitigate risks.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Operations and Production Managers regarding project performance.
  • Maintain open communication and networking with adjusters and the insurance community.
  • Uphold the highest integrity to positively represent the Cotton brand.
  • Oversee the hiring of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Direct daily activities on construction sites.
  • Address client and adjuster needs and requests.
  • Resolve conflicts with customers effectively.
  • Manage operational staff performance and scope changes.
  • Comprehend workflow procedures and systems.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • Proven knowledge of reconstruction projects is essential.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with workflow procedures and systems.
  • Understanding of the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to build and maintain relationships.
  • Valid driving record, with a minimum age of twenty-one (21) and at least three (3) years of verifiable driving experience.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • No repeat seat belt violations.
  • No high-speed moving violations in the past three years.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs arise is required.
