We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Expanded Learning Coach/Sports Recreation Instructor to join our team at Bay Area Community Resources. As a key member of our expanded learning programs, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of students
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment for students to thrive
  • Be a positive role model for students and lead by example
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support school day learning
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices
  • Collaborate with students to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
  • Experience as a coach with a specialty in Soccer
  • Ability to reliably commute to Oakland, CA
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to a full school year
  • Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development
