About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and passionate instructors to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our expanded learning team. As a program instructor, you will mentor and support up to 25 youth in a dynamic and innovative setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support the emotional well-being of students and maintain a safe environment.
  • Be a positive role model for students and engage them in lesson plans that support school-day learning.
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices and collaborate with youth to support their learning and development.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam.
  • Pass criminal background check and TB test clearance.
  • Experience working with youth or in a school setting required.
  • Ability to reliably commute to Oakland.
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to a full school year.
  • Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.
