Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as a Student Support Supervisor at the Los Rios Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operations of assigned programs, including student services, academic support services, and public services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development, coordination, and evaluation, with a minimum of three years of increasingly responsible experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, and a master's degree is preferred.

The Student Support Supervisor will work closely with program coordinators, administrators, and other college and district employees to ensure the effective delivery of student services and academic support programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating support services, establishing and maintaining accurate recordkeeping, and training, supervising, and evaluating assigned employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the operations of assigned programs
  • Coordinate support services, including student services, academic support services, and public services
  • Establish and maintain accurate recordkeeping for assigned programs and agencies
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate assigned employees
  • Participate in interviewing and selection of new employees
  • Ensure accountability and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare, monitor, and maintain budgets and expenditures for functions and activities
  • Develop and implement departmental procedures, forms, activities, and materials
  • Develop and conduct training and implementation for effective program operations and accountability
  • Participate in program review and audits
  • Assist with and/or prepare, maintain, and monitor area/program funds, budget allocations, expenditures, and other related functions
Requirements
  • Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a lead or supervisory capacity in student services, academic support services, public services, community college, and/or public agency program development, coordination, and evaluation
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse needs of our students
