Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to join our team. As a Behavioral Aide and Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and maintain accurate student data as directed by the Behavior Supervisor or Special Education Teacher.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in the face of challenging situations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Ensure excellent attendance and reliability, as this is essential for the success of our students.
  • Assist specialists as directed, facilitating social interactions during recess and group activities, and supporting students with personal needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working as a paraprofessional, behavior technician, or RBT in a school setting.
  • Comfortable assisting students with personal needs, including toileting, feeding, and diapering.
  • Open to working with a variety of caseloads, including students of different grade levels (K-12).
  • Comfortable working with students who have behavioral needs or aggressive/turbulent behaviors.
