About the Role:
Merryhill School is now hiring a Full-Time School Bus Driver. Our Bus Drivers are an integral part of the communities we serve, committed to safety, customer service, and genuine, caring attitudes for children. Our team collaborates and builds relationships with fellow staff members, school administration, families, and the community.

This is a split shift position requiring availability Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 10:45 am AND 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Transporting students and other authorized persons safely to and from school, on field trips, extracurricular, and special activities as authorized by immediate supervisor.
  • Operating school buses under all types of weather conditions.
  • Maintaining control of student passengers as related to safety.
  • Reporting unsafe acts or conditions requiring attention of any person other than the driver.
  • Completing forms, records, and reports as required by law and School policies.

Performing required operational and safety inspections of the school bus and all related equipment.


Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Must be at least 25 years of age.
Complies with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
Complies with all state-specific education requirements.
Must be comfortable with driving a mini-bus and transporting children.

This position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising from the floor, twisting, listening, reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

In addition, this position often requires carrying, lifting, using repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally pushing, pulling, or bending.

This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
