Overview:

The Medical / Pediatric Unit is a dynamic and challenging environment that requires a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse. Our 32-bed unit houses Med/Surg and Pediatric patients, presenting a wide range of medical needs. Our patient population includes CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, chest pain, and we also care for patients with Covid. Our pediatric population includes RSV, UTI, oral surgeries, and appendectomies.

We offer a supportive team environment where you can develop your skills and expertise. PIV and Foley catheters are common on our unit, and we also see PICC lines, PEG tubes, and NGT. Patients are generally here for 2-4 days in acute care, requiring a high level of attention and care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
  • Experience: Can be a new or experienced RN.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
