Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical / Pediatric Unit at Mercy Hospital Ardmore. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, including Med/Surg and Pediatric patients.

Unit Overview:

The Medical / Pediatric Unit is a 32-bed unit that offers a wide range of skills and experiences. Our patient population includes patients with CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, and Covid, as well as Pediatric patients with RSV, UTI, oral surgeries, and appendectomies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized patient care to Med/Surg and Pediatric patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
