Job Title: RN - Medical / Pediatric, Med/Surg - PRN

Department: Medical / Pediatric Med/Surg Unit - 2nd Floor

Status: PRN

Overview:

The Medical / Pediatric Unit at Mercy Hospital Ardmore is a 32-bed unit that provides care to a diverse range of patients. Our team works together to deliver exceptional care to patients with various medical conditions, including CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, and Covid. We also care for pediatric patients with conditions such as RSV, UTI, oral surgeries, and appendectomies.

Our unit offers opportunities for professional growth and development, with skills such as PIV and Foley catheters, PICC lines, PEG tubes, and NGT being common. Patients typically stay with us for 2-4 days in acute care. We prioritize teamwork and collaboration to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
  • Experience: Can be a new or experienced RN.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
