Unit Overview:
The Medical/Pediatric Unit is a 32-bed unit that offers a wide range of skills and experiences. Our patient population includes patients with CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, and Covid, as well as pediatric patients with RSV, UTI, oral surgeries, and appendectomies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and Pediatric patients
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
