Pain Management Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Pain Management Specialist to join our team at Summit Placement Service, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Pain Management Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain, developing individualized treatment plans, and prescribing appropriate medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop individualized pain management treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, including pain management medications and adjuvant therapies, following state regulations and scope of practice.
  • Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, medication usage, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic options.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure continuity of care through follow-up visits.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification: Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn interventional pain procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
