Speech-Language Pathologist

About the Role:
Elderwood at Williamsville is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing speech-language therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth evaluations to identify communication problems and develop personalized therapy plans.
- Coordinate audiometric screenings and make referrals for further audiology evaluations or treatments as needed.
- Initiate and maintain speech-language therapy plans of care, ensuring effective communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate speech-language treatment programs with other disciplines.
- Attend resident care planning and family/resident care plan review meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records, including statistical reports, in-service education information, and budget data.
Requirements:
- M.A. or M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school.
- State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
- Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others.
