Job Title: Preschool Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team at The Arc Erie County New York. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, treating, and consulting with other professionals to provide speech therapy services to our students. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that our students receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess students to identify communication, oral motor skills, swallowing, and augmentative communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific goals and objectives.
  • Administer and supervise therapy procedures, including selected activities, treatment, and therapeutic/adaptive equipment as needed.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including assessments, evaluations, screening, plans, progress notes, and session documentation.
  • Train staff and caregivers to carry out speech therapy programs and activities.
  • Consult with other professionals and team members to address questions and concerns related to communication and feeding/swallowing.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A successful completion of a Speech Language Pathologist program recognized by the Council on Academic Accreditation.
  • Current licensure within NY State (with the exception of CFY).
  • ASHA certification preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $29-$35 per hour, based on experience. Our full-time positions are Monday-Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. We also offer excellent benefits, including affordable healthcare and PTO.
