New Horizons Center is in search of a Director of Community Programs to become an integral part of our dedicated team.


As a respected non-profit organization, we have been committed to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities for nearly five decades.

Our focus is on fostering community integration through a variety of services, including residential support, day programs, habilitation services, and group employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of our community programs.

Manage, implement, and enhance program offerings that cover essential life skills, academic topics, and social interaction.

Oversee program budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.

Supervise and mentor Work Support Instructors (WSIs) to promote program vision and accountability.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.


Program Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication among various teams and ensure members engage in diverse recreational and leisure activities weekly.

Monitor and manage recreational funds for accuracy and timely submission of receipts.

Attend and lead necessary licensing and monitoring reviews.

Complete and manage documentation as outlined in individual plans.


Health and Appointment Coordination:
Assist members with medical appointments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted promptly.

Coordinate transportation for appointments and maintain accurate medical records.


Administrative Duties:
Submit all billing for services in a timely manner and complete required training progress reports.

Review and monitor billing daily to ensure compliance with regulations.


Additional Expectations:

Adhere to all organizational policies and regulations, including timely reporting of any violations.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with three years of experience in training programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Strong knowledge of training concepts and the ability to communicate effectively in English is essential.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and perform CPR and First Aid as needed.

A valid driver's license and a flexible work schedule are also required.


Compensation:
Salary range is between $50,000 and $60,000, commensurate with education and experience.
