Role Summary:

Administrative Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with leadership to optimize daily patient flow.
• Engages in staff meetings to enhance operational functions.
• Welcomes patients and visitors, managing calls and directing them appropriately.
• Oversees patient communication, including scheduling and appointment reminders.
• Verifies patient insurance details, including necessary pre-authorizations.
• Inputs patient charges into relevant databases.
• Reconciles charges and prepares monthly patient feedback documentation.
• Organizes and maintains patient charts, ensuring data accuracy.
• Coordinates ancillary testing with other departments.
• Arranges transportation for patients as required.
• Manages office and medical supplies efficiently.

Clinical Responsibilities:
• Under RN/Provider supervision, delivers wound care in accordance with established protocols.
• Assists in vein clinic operations post-training completion.
• Supports intake and discharge processes within defined scope.
• Collects patient information and prepares necessary supplies for care providers.
• Reports any quality of care concerns to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• May assist with hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties following training.
• Communicates effectively with team members regarding patient care interventions.
• May serve as a Documentation Assistant as per policy.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and Program Director.

Employment Classification: Non-exempt

Qualifications:

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or current Medical/CNA certification required.

Experience:
• Minimum of six months in a healthcare setting preferred; two years of office administration experience in a medical environment is ideal.

Skills Required:
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
