Position Summary:

The primary role of the Cardiovascular Program Coordinator is to support the Surgical Director in the execution and management of the cardiovascular program and its associated services. This position requires collaboration and effective communication with physicians, ancillary staff, and other administrative personnel to uphold the standards of surgical practice within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager/Director

FLSA Status: Non-exempt


Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
□ Associate's degree or equivalent required
□ Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Skills:
Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight. Must thrive in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately to challenges.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in open heart surgery.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire.

Licenses:
Surgical Tech Certification or First Assist Certification (CST/FA) or RN required upon hire.

Competency:
Arterial Line Placement within 6 months of hire.
