Position Summary:
The primary role of the Cardiovascular Program Coordinator is to support the Surgical Director in the execution and management of the cardiovascular program and its associated services. This position requires collaboration and effective communication with physicians, ancillary staff, and other administrative personnel to uphold the standards of surgical practice within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager/Director
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:- Associate's degree or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal supervision are essential. The role demands the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately to challenges.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in open heart surgery is required.
Certifications:- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or First Assist (CST/FA) or Registered Nurse (RN) is required upon hire.
Competency:Proficiency in Arterial Line Placement is expected within 6 months of hire.
