We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team at River Edge Behavioral Health.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in substance abuse treatment and be able to provide exceptional care to individuals struggling with addiction. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment services to patients and their families. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify substance use disorders and co-occurring needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Providing individual and group counseling sessions to promote healthy coping mechanisms and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between levels of care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and outcomes.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a CACII certification and have at least one year of experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
- Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and community resources.
- Meet all necessary state and federal requirements for licensure and certification.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
