Job Summary

Bishop Gadsden is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Service Manager to join our Assisted Living team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising staff and operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily implementation of programs and procedures to ensure quality service of meals to residents in the assisted living areas.
  • Supervise staff during meal periods and throughout the shift, promoting teamwork and cooperation among staff and with other operational departments.
  • Produce weekly or monthly schedules within facility guidelines and culture.
  • Follow all departmental, DHEC, and community safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training on processes and procedures, including the POS system.
  • Assist with annual departmental budgeting requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, Culinary Manager, and Department Director.
  • Participate in planning and coordination of departmental functions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and prior experience in a retirement or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a senior living facility helpful.
  • Two years supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to see, read, and comprehend numbers and written material both on paper and on computer systems.
  • Ability to interact with residents and their families as well as other staff with tact, courtesy, and confidentiality.
