Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team at Salamander Hospitality. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to a high standard, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items to a high standard, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Participate in menu planning and development, suggesting new ideas and dishes to enhance the culinary experience.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Certified cook or higher level preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
Working Conditions:
The Line Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise and physical demands. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
