Position Summary
The Automotive Service Advisor plays a crucial role in initiating automotive services and repairs. This includes identifying performance issues, verifying warranty coverage, preparing estimates, and maintaining customer relationships and records.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose automotive issues by engaging with customers to understand their concerns, conducting inspections, and reviewing maintenance records.
- Confirm warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing documentation and explaining terms.
- Prepare cost estimates by calculating materials, supplies, and labor, including any applicable deductibles.
- Create repair orders by detailing symptoms, problems, and necessary services, obtaining necessary approvals, and entering data into the service management system.
- Maintain customer relationships by explaining estimates, expected service timelines, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Document automotive records by noting problems and planned corrective actions.
- Enhance professional knowledge by participating in training opportunities and reviewing manufacturer publications.
- Contribute to the organization's reputation by taking ownership of new requests and seeking ways to add value to the service experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of professional customer service experience.
- Proficient in using computers, mobile applications, and technology.
- Ability to convey complex technical information to customers effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an automotive Service Advisor with a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics.
- Experience in automobile sales or as a technician.
- Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
- Retail experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Toyota facilities and certifications is advantageous.
