Position Overview

The ideal candidate will operate under the guidance of the Quality Manager, with key responsibilities including:
  • Conducting technical evaluations of maintenance activities performed by our personnel, subcontractors, and facilities to ensure adherence to client standards (e.g., computer validation, MIS review, etc.) to provide a quality assurance perspective on discussed issues.
    • Performing technical evaluations of turbines, photovoltaic modules, or batteries based on site type (80% of the role).
    • Executing technical assessments of substations.
    • Carrying out general site inspections: OM Building, warehouse, etc.
  • Utilizing checklists for inspections and offering recommendations for enhancements.
  • Preparing findings reports.
  • Employing applications: utilizing our web tools and apps for inspections and documenting findings.
  • Promoting a culture of quality among technicians: sharing findings with site teams and elucidating inspection results.
  • Assisting in technical quality audits of electrical power generation facilities (wind and solar) in accordance with client standards (internal ISO and Q audits).
  • Identifying and managing non-conformities.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Following through on NCRs using Enablon software.
  • Supporting both internal and external audits - combined 9001, 14001.
Full-time inspectors will be expected to travel to various wind and solar farms in designated regions.

All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools will be provided.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree, trade school certification, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge to support root cause analysis.
  • Able to work at heights in wind turbines and on the ground.
  • Must pass wind turbine climb and rescue training; possess full range of motion; maintain fitness to wear a standard fall protection harness without weight restrictions (maximum 265 lbs.). Access to turbines will primarily be for education, inspections, and audits.
Quality Operation & Maintenance:
  • Technical experience with wind farms.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Technical qualification of wind turbines, preferably Nordex technology.
  • Proposing corrective and improvement actions to technical specifications.
Language Proficiency: English - fluent, including writing. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Travel Requirements: Depending on the position, candidates should be prepared for domestic travel, including to and from Canada.
