Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Growth Specialist to join our team at Turner Construction Company. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion in our commercial construction business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and expansion in assigned markets.
  • Lead efforts to research and identify new business opportunities, including target areas, projects, and clients.
  • Establish and maintain a strong external presence in the marketplace, including networking and relationship-building.
  • Develop and execute business development action plans to achieve specific targets and goals.
  • Work closely with operations teams to develop project teams and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Supervise the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to support business development efforts.
  • Meet client needs and provide advice and counsel to prospective and current clients.
  • Work with senior leadership to negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all ethics and compliance requirements.
  • Manage a team of business development professionals, including completion of employee evaluations and development plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of commercial construction industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction, including a field perspective and/or work in a preconstruction capacity.
  • Proven leadership and independent thinking skills, with a strong ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Advanced presentation and sales skills, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job require the ability to climb stairs, use construction personnel hoists, and navigate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The job also requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment for this job is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
