Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Manufacturing - Competitive Salary
- Our client, a leader in the design and production of tailored solutions for power transmission and motion control, is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.
- The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in developing systems for ongoing quality monitoring in production and will work closely with the manufacturing team to establish new testing protocols. This position involves gathering and analyzing data from production or laboratory processes while promoting effective teamwork across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main Quality Assurance contact for department leaders regarding issue identification, resolution, loss tracking, and ongoing enhancement.
- Create, implement, and document quality standards and requirements for product manufacturing and inspection.
- Design and execute methods for process control, enhancement, testing, and inspection.
- Set supplier quality expectations and assess supplier performance.
- Engage in both internal and external quality audits.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to address quality concerns and ensure effective corrective measures are taken.
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for problem-solving.
- Demonstrate strong communication and influencing abilities, both in writing and verbally.
- Exhibit proficiency in computer applications, including quality assurance software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Show initiative, uphold commitments, and contribute to the development of new tools or solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain high energy levels, personal accountability, and integrity.
- Display meticulous attention to detail, verify personal work, maintain accurate records, and organize information efficiently.
- Take initiative, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Support New Product Development teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into standard manufacturing processes.
- Assist Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing departments with product enhancements.
- Proactively identify potential quality issues and communicate them to management.
- Responsible for documentation related to first article inspections (PPAP).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
