Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be part of a team dedicated to the safe, effective, and efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment supporting advanced testing facilities. Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is essential, ensuring all tasks are executed with high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Familiarity with industry-standard safety practices, including Foreign Object Damage (FOD) control and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, is beneficial. Experience in managing rotating machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, and cooling systems is preferred. Additional equipment experience may include industrial forklifts, man-lifts, and cranes. Responsibilities will also encompass preventive maintenance, inspections, and operational tasks as per established protocols. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications is required. Relevant military or aviation maintenance training is advantageous.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required. Candidates should possess two (2) years of college education in engineering, mathematics, or science, alongside four (4) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years.

Work Environment:

Office Environment (20%). Test/Industrial Environment - Potential exposure to high noise levels, energy sources, hazardous materials, and industrial facilities (75%). Travel between facilities and during testing operations may be necessary, which could involve exposure to loud noise and hazardous equipment (5%).

Physical Requirements:

Must possess the mobility to navigate confined spaces and access various assemblies while maintaining safety awareness. Potential exposure to high noise levels and hazardous materials is expected. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and training will be provided. Candidates must be capable of walking, standing, bending, twisting, and sitting for extended periods, as well as climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 35 lbs (75%).

Equipment and Machines:

Facility operations display/keyboards/mechanical/electrical control/HMI, standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.) (30%). Operate relevant equipment; devices, fabricating and assembling new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products, including industrial machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments. Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to evaluate design proposals for enhancing equipment performance or other factors, or to gather data for development, standardization, and quality assurance.

Attendance:

Regular attendance is mandatory (100%). Overtime or work outside the normal schedule may be required (10%).

Additional Essential Functions:

U.S. Citizenship is required. A valid driver's license is necessary. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential. Professional behavior that enhances productivity and fosters teamwork and cooperation is expected. Grooming and attire must be suitable for the position and not pose safety risks. The work environment necessitates the ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required. Employees are expected to exercise diligence when developing a Safe Plan of Action (SPA) for each task performed. The SPA is a company-provided tool aimed at preventing incidents, accidents, and injuries; it is a critical resource that must be utilized.
