Your Contribution at KIK

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician & Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless operation of our machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass inspecting, testing, and monitoring equipment, as well as conducting necessary repairs and replacements. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our plant's efficiency and safety standards. This position offers a competitive salary range of $30.00 – $35.00/hour along with a quarterly operational bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently identify and resolve equipment issues with minimal oversight.
  • Respond promptly to equipment-related concerns in a customer-focused manner.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, including process instrumentation/control systems and various voltage systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections regularly.
  • Analyze mechanical issues and provide innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns using your mechanical expertise.
  • Modify, repair, install, and maintain various machinery and equipment within processing and packaging departments.
  • Assist in the setup, takedown, and relocation of processing and packaging equipment.
  • Adapt packaging and process equipment for new product lines as needed.
  • Offer solutions to both routine and unique equipment challenges.
  • Operate machine shop tools including mills, lathes, and grinders.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of mechanical or maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts (days, afternoons, nights).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including lifting over 50 lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
