Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Case Manager to improve the quality of compliance management in special education, enhance family involvement, and advocate for equitable educational opportunities. This role will be performed remotely, allowing you to manage a caseload of students with disabilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire compliance cycle for special education services.
  • Conduct assessments, develop plans, implement strategies, monitor progress, and evaluate the necessary actions to fulfill each student's educational and related service requirements.
  • Collaborate with educators and school personnel to ensure the effectiveness of the special education program while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Utilize technology tools to manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), reevaluations, eligibility assessments, transition services, and progress monitoring for students.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation on innovative methods and strategies that promote educational progress for students with disabilities.
  • Engage with teachers, administrators, and families regarding the operational elements of the special education program.
  • Perform academic assessments and prepare detailed reports for IEP meetings or to track ongoing progress.
  • Develop, document, and oversee IEPs, ensuring that curricular resources are coordinated and that IEP goals are systematically met.
  • Attend training sessions, meetings, and committees as required.
  • Maintain regular communication with families to discuss student progress and concerns.
  • Work alongside specialists and school staff to monitor student achievements throughout the academic year.
  • Support students receiving services in alternative placements or home-hospital settings.
  • Document case information accurately and produce statistical reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in Special Education and Case Management.
  • Strong understanding of case management principles, compliance management, and Medicaid reimbursement processes.
  • Familiarity with PreK-12 school systems in both urban and rural settings.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate team player with strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in technology, particularly Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of Special Education laws and policies (IDEA) is preferred.

Note: This is a remote contractor position with MindWorks Collaborative. The compensation rate ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, based on experience.
